AROWE
Music mama singing soul into the world

Alex Rowe
Musician. Mama. Educator.
Arowe burst into the Australian music scene in 2009 when she won a coveted place in an artist mentorship program with The Push and released her first single Deaf Silence through Mushroom Publishing on the compilation album Naked in the Woods.
The program also allowed Arowe to perform alongside Katy Steele (Little Birdy), Jen Cloher (The Endless Sea).
Arowe is known for her solo soul roots tunes reminiscent of Jeff Buckley with neo-soul voicing akin to Erykah Badu. Her music bridges jazz to acoustic soul and gospel to flamenco often lending her voice to collaborate with other artists. Most notable as seen in her 2015 music video of her song with Able 8 and Che Steer Dear Lonely. Streamed as a top liner on the track Sufi Dub by Austero.
